No one does summer like the Mandell JCC! They combine the best of all your favorite summer activities in one place to give you an unparalleled experience. From the popular sports specialty camps and the stunning day camp in the woods along the Farmington River to the child care camps and off-site recreation club — summer’s in session at the Mandell JCC.
Arts Camp: Budding artists get hands-on experiences that teach new skills in the worlds of pottery and mixed media art. Full-day campers enjoy time in the indoor pool, on the playscape, or outdoors.
Camp Shalom: Located on 75 wooded acres along the Farmington River, Camp Shalom is the perfect place for your children to swim, boat, canoe, water-ski and tube as well as fish, hike and enjoy arts and crafts. Session 1: June 25 – July 20; Session 2: July 23 – August 3; Session 3: August 6 – 17.
Campareenah: For preschoolers. Developmentally appropriate programs, including sports, crafts, games, skill building, storytelling, music and more, are designed for young preschoolers. Field trips for Ready, Set, Kindergarten campers, full use of the entire JCC facility, including the gym and indoor pool and additional afternoon enrichment programs. Sports Jams: For grades 1-9. It’s all about teamwork, friendships and building a child’s athletic skill at any level. Pick from any or all of the 10 weeks of programming. Full-day and half-day options as well as before and after care are offered.
Theater Camp: For grades 3-8. Campers spend four weeks preparing a summer theater production, while also enjoying daily swim, outdoor play and snack time. The program concludes with a full performance in the Mandell JCC’s Herbert Gilman Theater.
