Located in Portland, YMCA Camp Ingersoll is more than a camp, it’s a Family. Every day, 650 campers gather at the Henry W. Coe Amphitheater to recite the Pledge of Allegiance followed by our Ingerpledge. Every day we commit to “accept challenges big and small, we pledge our heart to camp Ingersoll!” We know that our campers are unique and diverse which is why we provide a variety of programming tailored to all needs, but we do it with an emphasis on values and acceptance. Campers learn confidence at swim lessons, respect at the archery range, and how to make new friends at lunch. Our staff team is carefully screened, certified in First Aid and CPR, and comes complete with a registered nurse. They are hired based on their ability to establish a welcoming atmosphere where campers can be themselves while being encouraged to reach out of their familiar comfort zones. With a great combination of open field space, modern facilities and tranquil woodlands, this is the ideal place for children to grow in spirit, mind and body. It is our belief that camp should be accessible to all families. We also know that camp can be a financial burden. We have a tier based pricing system that allows families to choose their own prices, and we have expanded our application based Open Doors Financial Aid program to meet the needs of more families. Please call or visit our website for more information.

Traditional Camp is everything that a summer camp experience should be. Campers have the opportunity to visit all of the specialty areas including ropes, archery, swimming, arts and crafts, boating and nature, while counselors individually tailor the remaining periods to their group’s interests and needs. There are programs for ages 4-16. All Traditional Camp Programs, except during a one week session, include swim lessons in the morning and free swim in the afternoon.

Specialty Camps give campers more time to learn skills and enjoy their special interests. Campers focus on their specialty in the morning and traditional activities in the afternoon. NEW SPECIALTY CAMP INCLUDE: Cardboard Camp, Parkour, and Ninja Warrior. Basketball and Soccer camps are now running every session throughout the summer. Older and younger Basketball / Soccer campers will register, and spend their day at camp, in separate programs. Other Specialty Camps include Arts & Crafts, Let’s Dance, Glee, Movie Making, Game On, Can We Build It? Yes We Can, STEAM, Mega Adventure, Extended Wilderness, Outdoor Adventure, Olders Adventure, Campfire Cooking, Fort Building, All Things Aqua, All Star Sports, Triathlon Training, Fishing, Horseback, and Horseback Experience.

This summer we have 4 two week sessions starting on June 25th. We also have 2 one week sessions starting on June 18th and August 20th. If you’re not sure if Camp Ingersoll is right for you please join us at one (or all) of our events at Ingersoll this spring and summer:
May 5th: Camp Open House
June 2nd: Camp Open House

In our continued attempt to engage more families in our Camp Community we also like to invite all families to enjoy our Family Nights. Camp registration is not necessary. Our ropes course, archery range, bounce houses, swimming and boating areas will be open during the first three family nights. We also sell Refreshments and camp merchandise. The night concludes with a performance by our Dance or Glee Camp, reciting our Ingerpledge and singing the Ingersong. Session 4 Family Night concludes with a live performance by the Michael Cleary Band! All are welcome to come down for some family fun. Family Night dates:
Thursday, June 28
Thursday, July 12
Thursday, July 26
Thursday, August 16

Returning Camper registration begins Monday, January 22. New Camper registration begins Monday, February 5. Some camps will fill, so register soon to reserve your spot.
