Saint Thomas More School, an accredited college preparatory boarding school in the Catholic tradition for young men, offers a unique summer camp program for boys in grades 7-12. Within a structured environment, the camp strives to motivate, nurture and strengthen the intellectual, moral, physical and social development of every student.
Learn2Learn - (students entering 7th 8th or 9th): A program designed for middle school students, starting grade 7, 8, or 9 in the fall, to optimize success in their new grade level in the fall. Focusing on language arts, mathematics, and study/time management skills in their three-course schedule, each student will work with his advisor to identify strengths and weaknesses and set academic goals for the summer.
Academic camp — Accelerate or Recover - (students entering grades 10, 11 or 12): A program for high school students to start next grade level courses or make up/retake courses from the previous year over the summer. Integrated study skills and time management topics will ensure students are in a better position to manage the complexity and importance of their junior and senior years. To ensure a productive summer, advisors will meet with students and set goals for the summer.
“Accelerate” students will take English, math, and one additional course. “Recover” students will take two or three courses depending on the specific requirement of their credit recovery needs. Both programs will choose one sport and one mini course.
Sport and Mini-Course options available. The camp’s five-week session runs from July 2-August 4; half sessions: July 2-July 18 and July 19-August 4.
